How long does it take you to get ready in the Morning?

The majority of women take 21 minutes getting ready for a shopping trip. But eight per cent take more than an hour. The time increases in the evening, with the average woman taking 54 minutes preparing for a girls’ night out – while a romantic evening takes 59 minutes of preparation. (Source:Dailymail)

I use to think I was under-average when it came to getting ready. You spend some time on hair and makeup and leave your house feeling great only to met your friends and instantly feel like they all look better than you. Everyone got the memo to get hot and you only got cute. I’m sure every girl and women has felt this at some point.

Most days now that i’m 25 and work from home, my morning routine only takes me 5 minutes. I wear foundation, blush, eye-shadow, mascara, and eyeliner. I’ve heard from a lot of women that your eye-shadow tells most about you and the color should be picked wisely, we’ve all seen some neon greens that just did not work out. A simple day makeup look that works with any product you have on hand is easy to do in under 5.

The major thing I would like to stress is a moisturized sunscreen before applying ANY makeup. Most women skip this in their ritual but it is the most important!  Here are a few great suggestions from mixedmakeup.com

Send me some photos of your eye-shadow, one will be included in my next makeup post!

Do you take longer than most women?  Let me know, send me an email!

  1. i love this! it takes me, give or take, 45 minutes to get ready but that’s because i like to take my time & watch youtube videos in between! incorporating sunscreen into my morning routine is DEFINITELY something i need to get into a habit on, great post!

  2. Depends on where I am going or what I am doing. If it’s a day at home, I go for a pretty lippy color. If I leave the house it will take me about 15 minutes to put on a face and about 10 minutes for hair. Though that’s another story all together. I have wild hair….So that depends too on what the hair is doing. Hahaha. 🙂
